SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Curt Hagman (R-Chino Hills) has earned a 100% Perfect Score from the California Taxpayers Association (CalTax), the state’s oldest and largest nonprofit and nonpartisan organization representing taxpayers.
Every legislative year, CalTax reviews all proposed legislation, seeking bills that would affect California’s tax structure and economy as well as ones that address tax complexity and transparency. The votes and legislative actions of Assemblymembers are matched up with these bills and a score is calculated. This score holds lawmakers accountable and keeps taxpayers informed on how well represented they are in Sacramento.
“I am very proud to be one of the few lawmakers to receive a 100% perfect score from the California Taxpayers Association,” said Assemblyman Hagman. “I have always been committed to protecting the hard-working families and taxpayers of California both by promoting government efficiency and opposing unnecessary taxes that discourage job creation and economic growth. It is an ongoing, uphill battle, but I will not give up the fight.”
Currently, California has the nation’s highest state sales tax, the highest state gas taxes, the highest marginal income tax rate, and the highest business owner income tax rate.
