Hagman Re-Issues Call for Gloria Negrete McLeod to Debate
Assemblyman Curt Hagman today re-issued his call for a debate in every city in San Bernardino’s 4th Supervisor District.
Hagman said, “voters in Chino, Chino Hills, Montclair, Ontario and Upland deserve to hear from both Congresswoman Gloria Negrete McLeod and myself about our plans for the county”.
Negrete McLeod had ignored Hagman’s call to debate prior to the June 3rd primary election, but her current schedule should leave ample time to debate prior to the general election.
Hagman’s campaign consultant, Jim Nygren noted that “Congress is not in session from September 20-28 or anytime after October 6. That should give plenty of time for debates prior to October 15 so that those that would like to attend a debate and vote early can do so.”
Nygren suggested that Negrete McLeod was “ducking the call to debate because she is either unprepared or unwilling to answer tough questions”. He pointed to one newspaper report where Negrete McLeod indicated that she “would have to be elected before she could evaluate the way things are working in county government.”
